Our bistro draws inspiration from the national romanticism around the turn of the last century and is named after the actress Ester Sahlin, the great love of the Danish-Swedish artist Ole Kruse. Kruse was an important person in the circle of young artists, writers and actors in Gothenburg around 1900. Here at Bokenäset he had his creative haven.
