Paddle session WHITE at Bokenäset – Discover kayaking in the Bohuslän archipelago

Welcome to a full day of enjoyable paddling, learning and nature experience in Bohuslän's beautiful archipelago! This event combines a guided kayak tour, swimming as well as training and certification for Paddle Pass White – Level 0, according to the Swedish Canoe Association's standards.
This tour has an English speaking very experienced guide named Lee Shiel who is Certified Sea Kayak Leader 1 and EPP level green.
No previous experience is required – just curiosity, joy and a willingness to learn!
During the day you will learn:
- Lifting, carrying and putting in the canoe
- Setting up the equipment
- Entry and exit
- Balance
- Paddling
We paddle together at a leisurely pace around Hjältön, stopping at a beautiful beach for lunch or coffee and enjoying the sea, the silence and the company. The trip is adapted to the weather and the level of the group. After the day you will receive The White Paddle Pass – your “driving license” for kayaking!
The plan for the day:
11:00 Out on the water around Hjältön
12:00 Lunch / coffee break on a nice beach at Hjältön, with the opportunity for a swim / dip
13:00 – 13:30 Continued paddling around the island as a longer option. A shorter option may also be possible.
15:00 – 15:30 Return to Bokenäs
- Swimwear
- Change of clothes & towel
- Sun cap or hat
- Water bottle/drink (preferably in a plastic bag or waterproof bag)
- Paddle shoes or sandals (or barefoot is also fine)
We can provide waterproof bags if needed.
Food & coffee
Please bring your own food and coffee in a waterproof bag – or pre-order one. Tasty coffee from Bokenäset's restaurant for 129 SEK.

The goal of the day:
That you will feel safe, inspired and eager to paddle more! You will take away knowledge, a certificate and hopefully a memory for life from a peaceful day on the water.
Important to know:
We reserve the right to cancel the event if there are fewer than three registered participants, in the event of adverse weather or other circumstances beyond our control. If the tour is cancelled, the full amount will be refunded, or rebooking to another date will be offered.
